NR-50549, Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV), EMC/2012, Irradiated Infected Cell Lysate, is in stock and may be a substitute for NR-50171.
NR-50171 is a preparation of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV), EMC/2012 that has been inactivated by heating to 65°C for 30 minutes.
MERS-CoV, EMC/2012 was isolated in 2012 from an elderly man with fatal pneumonia in Saudi Arabia. The complete genome of MERS-CoV, EMC/2012 has been sequenced (GenBank:
JX869059).
Each vial contains approximately 0.25 mL of heat inactivated, clarified cell lysate and supernatant from Vero E6 cells infected with MERS CoV, EMC/2012. The vial should be centrifuged prior to opening.
Note: The long-term stability of this preparation is not known at this time. It is recommended that users confirm the activity of the product if not used within three months of receipt. You may also contact BEI Resources for updated stability information.
