The B cell hybridoma was generated by the fusion of SP2/0 myeloma cells with immunized BALB/c mouse splenocytes. Clone T4 1E5 recognizes the SAG1 protein. SAG1 or P30 protein (~ 30 kDa) is a stage-specific antigen abundant on the surface of both extracellular and intracellular tachyzoites.  It is anchored to the plasma membrane via glycosylphosphatidyl-inositols (GPI) and is one of the most highly-conserved, immunogenic T. gondii antigens. SAG1 is primarily involved in host-cell invasion and receptor binding. Each vial contains approximately 100 ?L of purified monoclonal antibody in PBS, pH 7.4.NR-50255 is reported to react with native SAG1 and to function in immunofluorescence and immunoblot assays.
