The US Food and Drug Administration recommended influenza A/Brisbane/10/2007 (H3N2)-like viruses for use as vaccines during the 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 influenza seasons. The World Health Organization recommended influenza A/Brisbane/10/2007 (H3N2)-like viruses for use as vaccines during the 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 Northern Hemisphere and the 2008 and 2009 Southern Hemisphere influenza seasons.
