Genomic DNA was extracted from a preparation of Bacillus megaterium (B. megaterium), strain CIP 66.20 (also known as Ford 19), derived from ATCC ? 14581?. B. megaterium, strain CIP 66.20 was isolated by W. W. Ford and was deposited at ATCC ? in 1962 by Dr. Ruth E. Gordon, Institute of Microbiology, Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey, USA. The complete genome of B. megaterium, strain CIP 66.20 has been sequenced (GenBank: CP009920.1).
Each vial contains approximately 0.7 ?g to 1.5 ?g of genomic DNA in TE buffer (10 mM Tris-HCl and 1 mM EDTA, pH 8 to 8.5).
