Acinetobacter baumannii (A. baumannii), strain MRSN 15129 was isolated in 2012 from a human respiratory sample in South America as part of a global surveillance program. A. baumannii, strain MRSN 15129 was deposited as part of the MRSN Acinetobacter baumannii Diversity Panel available from BEI Resources as NR-52248. NR-52199 was deposited as multi-locus sequence type (MLST) ST 1126, sensitive to amikacin, ceftazidime, colistin, imipenem, meropenem and ampicillin/sulbactam, intermediately resistant to ceftriaxone, cefepime and tobramycin and resistant to ciprofloxacin, gentamicin, trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole, levofloxacin and tetracycline. Strain MRSN 15129 is reported to have two beta-lactamase genes (bla_ADC-25 and bla_OXA-424; conferring resistance to beta-lactams), a sulfonamide resistance gene (sul2; conferring resistance to sulfonamides) and a tetracycline resistance gene [tet(B); conferring resistance to tetracycline]. The complete genome of A. baumannii, strain MRSN 15129 is available (GenBank: VHGR00000000). Each vial contains approximately 0.5 mL of bacterial culture in Tryptic Soy broth supplemented with 10% glycerol.
