Acinetobacter baumannii (A. baumannii), strain MRSN 480622 was isolated in 2017 from a human urine sample in Asia as part of a global surveillance program. A. baumannii, strain MRSN 480622 was deposited as part of the MRSN Acinetobacter baumannii Diversity Panel available from BEI Resources as NR-52248. NR-52245 was deposited as multi-locus sequence type (MLST) ST 215, sensitive to colistin and trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole and resistant to amikacin, ampicillin/sulbactam, cefepime, ceftazidime, ceftriaxone, ciprofloxacin, gentamicin, imipenem, levofloxacin, meropenem, tetracycline and tobramycin. Strain MRSN 480622 is reported to have two aminoglycoside transferase genes [aph(3')-Ib and aph(6)-Id; conferring resistance to various aminoglycosides], three beta-lactamase genes (bla_ADC-25, bla_OXA-23, and bla_OXA-66; conferring resistance to beta-lactams), one macrolide phosphotransferase gene [mph(E); conferring resistance to macrolides], one 16S rRNA methyltransferase gene (armA; conferring resistance to aminoglycoside antibiotics), one ABC-F type ribosomal protection protein gene [msr(E); conferring resistance to erythromycin and streptogramin B antibiotics] and one tetracycline resistance gene [tet(B); conferring resistance to tetracycline]. The complete genome of A. baumannii, strain MRSN 480622 is available (GenBank: VHEP00000000). Each vial contains approximately 0.5 mL of bacterial culture in Tryptic Soy broth supplemented with 10% glycerol.
