Total RNA from Schistosoma japonicum, Chinese Strain, Eggs(Nucleic Acids)|Schistosoma japonicum|Total RNA from Schistosoma japonicum, Chinese Strain, Eggs|-70°C or colder|MH HsiehAcknowledgment for publications should read "The following reagent was provided by the NIAID Schistosomiasis Resource Center for distribution through BEI Resources, NIAID, NIH: Total RNA from Schistosoma japonicum, Chinese Strain, Eggs, NR-31802."|Quantity limit per order for this item is 1. This item can be ordered twice a year. Orders over this limit will be sent to NIAID for approval before shipment.Total RNA was extracted from Schistosoma japonicum (S. japonicum), Chinese strain, eggs. The eggs were collected and pooled from mice infected with S. japonicum cercariae.S. japonicum is a species of trematode worm which causes the chronic parasitic disease Schistosomiasis in China and the Far East, in areas with poor sanitation that lack access to safe drinking water. The Chinese strain of S. japonicum was originally isolated from An-huei Province, China, in 1928. The laboratory stock of the original Chinese strain of S. japonicum was later mixed with a second isolate from An-huei Province in 1977 to produce the current Chinese strain. Each vial of NR-31802 contains approximately 1 ?g to 10 ?g of RNA in DNase/RNase-free distilled water.
