This enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay detects antibodies toBrucella ovis.Sample serum antibodies bind toBrucellaantigen coated on the plastic wells of the microtiter plate. Non-specific antibody is washed away and the plate-bound antibody captures the peroxidase conjugate. The presence of bound peroxidase conjugate is detected by the addition of an enzyme substrate and quantified by subsequent color product development. Strong color development indicates the presence of antibody toB. ovisin the sample serum.
