About Integrated Cushion Plate 96-Well PCR Low Elution Bar Magnet Plate with Integrated Cushion Base The Permagen 96-Well Side Pull Bar Magnet PCR Separation Plate was designed for use in manual or automation applications where pulling beads to one side of the well is essential. Unlike our other bar magnet plates, this product has its own magnet for each row of tubes for simplified pipetting. Aluminum is much easier to make precision products out of then plastic. It stays flat and wont warp. This leads to more consistent results for the end user Where are the beads pelleted? The beads will collect on one side of the tube about 1.5 mm up from the bottom What microplates can I use This plate accepts Full-Skirt PCR plates. Semi-, and Non-Skirted plates are only recommended for manual applications as they do not have a sbs footprint and won’t locate properly. For best results, we recommend full-skirt like Bio-Rad hardshell Will this fit my Liquid handling robot Yes, this plate has a standard SBS/ ANSI compliant footprint to fit into any platforms What is the pull-down time of this magnet. We separated 50 µL of undiluted Ampure XP beads in two minutes.
